Inlet Cooling

Fern Engineering: Gas Turbine Experts who Understand Gas Turbine Inlet Fogging

Don’t trust your gas turbine to just anyone. Our inlet fogging and wet compression systems deliver the power you need at a cost that makes sense.

Our inlet cooling systems (also known as fogging systems) augment the power output of a gas turbine in warm weather conditions. With all stainless steel materials, Fern Engineering’s inlet cooling systems use positive displacement pumps to pump demineralized/de-ionized water at 3000 psi (207 bar) from the pumping skid to spray nozzle manifolds located in the air duct downstream of the filter housing. The water vapor increases the mass flow of the engine, thus allowing it to produce more power in warm weather conditions.
